Dear Liteline Staff,
43 years ago, Steve Silverstein bought a table saw and a delivery van and began a revolution in the Canadian Electrical industry. By providing custom fabricated replacement lenses and louvers at a reasonable price to electrical wholesalers Liteline began a tradition of creating innovative simple yet technical lighting solutions. This tradition has been carried on through the commoditization of track lighting in the late 80’s, the simplification of recessed lighting in the 90’s.
In the early 2000’s Daniel, Mark and Sarah joined Liteline in a full-time capacity. Mark began his career at Liteline spending summers assisting the production team, and then full-time hosting BBQs and counter days as an Account Manager. Sarah worked the eastern GTA beat as a rep, and Daniel had an introduction to lighting working as a junior fabricator making counter-top displays. Over the last 18 years Daniel, Mark and Sarah have taken on increasingly senior roles, moving through the ranks up to their current position of VP of Operations, VP Sales, VP USA Sales and Marketing respectively.
In 2016, after 37 years at the helm, Steve took a step back from an active role in Liteline to allow the 2nd Generation to establish their own leadership within the company and the industry. Under the combined guidance of the Silverstein siblings Liteline has emerged as a pillar of the industry, transforming into the recognized and respected leader in innovation, customer service, logistics, and friendliness. Liteline is now the guiding star that others seek for inspiration and sometimes emulation.
2022 marks the year that many founders dream of, after 42 years of profitable operation Liteline has successfully executed a transition to the 2nd generation of leaders. Daniel, Mark and Sarah have acquired formal ownership in Liteline and affiliated companies and are now officially co-equal partners. With this new arrangement the 3 siblings are taking on the title and responsibilities of Co-President. With this new title and role, Liteline will continue revolutionizing lighting and the lighting industry.

Il y a 43 ans, Steve Silverstein a acquis un banc de scie et une camionnette de livraison et il a ainsi amorcé une révolution dans l’industrie électrique canadienne. En fournissant des lentilles de remplacement paraboliques et en acrylique à un prix raisonnable aux grossistes en électricité, Liteline a entamé une tradition de créer des solutions d’éclairage innovantes, simples et efficaces. Cette tradition s’est poursuivie en popularisant l’éclairage sur rail à la fin des années 80, pour ensuite simplifier l’éclairage encastré dans les années 90.
Au début des années 2000, Daniel, Mark et Sarah ont rejoint Liteline à temps plein. Mark a commencé sa carrière chez Liteline durant plusieurs étés alors qu’il aidait l’équipe de production en plus d’organiser des barbecues et des journées-comptoir en tant que gestionnaire de compte. Sarah a travaillé dans le territoire de l’Est de la grande région de Toronto en tant que représentante des ventes. Daniel a été introduit à l’éclairage en tant que concepteur-junior des présentoirs de comptoir. Au cours des 18 dernières années, Daniel, Mark et Sarah ont assumé des rôles de plus en plus importants, gravissant les échelons jusqu’à leur poste actuel de V-P des opérations, V-P des ventes, V-P des ventes et du marketing États-Unis.
En 2016, après 37 ans à la barre, Steve prend du recul par rapport à un rôle actif dans Liteline pour permettre à la 2e génération d’établir son propre leadership au sein de l’entreprise et de l’industrie. Sous la direction combinée des frères et sœur Silverstein, Liteline est devenu un pilier de l’industrie se transformant en leader reconnu et respecté en matière d’innovation, de convivialité, du meilleur service-client et de logistique. Liteline est devenu une référence enviable que d’autres recherchent pour l’inspiration et parfois l’émulation.
2022 marque l’année dont rêvent de nombreux fondateurs, après 42 ans d’exploitation rentable Liteline a réussi sa transition vers la 2e génération de dirigeants. Daniel, Mark et Sarah sont devenus officiellement propriétaires de Liteline et des sociétés affiliées . Par ce fait, ils sont désormais officiellement des partenaires à parts égales. Avec cette nouvelle structure, les 3 enfants de Steve assument le titre et les responsabilités de co-président(e).
Avec ces nouveaux titres et rôles , Liteline continuera de révolutionner l’éclairage et l’industrie de l’éclairage .
